The School of Nursing is very excited to name Meg Martin (Nursing, Health Policy) as thier 1st SocPop scholar.
The SocPop Scholars Program is set to begin in December 2016 and will include scholars from each of the 6 SocPop programs (Sociology, Nursing, Anthropology, History of Health Sciences, Global Health, and Epidemiology & Translational Sciences)
Scholars from each program were chosen based on their research interests and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration fall in line with the mission of SocPop.
Samantha Zylberman, starting in her 2nd year in the MS Nursing: Health Policy program, has been announced as the 2016 winner of the Ann Klobas Outstanding Health Policy Paper Award. Her paper, titled Understanding the Impact of Pesticide Exposure and Related Health Outcomes in Farmworkers Using the Theory of Social Constructions of Targeted Populations, evidenced thought and concern in addressing policy from a nursing perspective.
School Wins Big at AHIRGNI
Two faculty from the UC San Francisco (UCSF) School of Nursing received awards at this week’s Academy Health Interdisciplinary Research Group on Nursing Issues (AHIRGNI) Conference.
